Four players were sent off for second bookable offences this weekend, including our old friend Sergio Ramos late on at Las Palmas. If we’re not mistaken, that was his twentieth red card in a Real Madrid shirt, well past anyone else at the club! Eibar’s Radosevic was the first to go though at Rayo on Saturday, and Sevilla’s Banega also got his marching orders with ten minutes to go against Villarreal. And on Monday Granada’s Barral was only on the park for a quarter of the game before he saw red for two hard challenges on Espanyol players, although luckily for him his team held on for a valuable draw. All will miss next weekend’s games together with eight others who completed the five yellow card cycle, including Rayo’s Diego Llorente, who picked up his tenth booking of the season, and Carrasco (Atlético), Radoja (Celta), Andrés and Lombán (both Granada), Bigas (Las Palmas), Pepe (Real Madrid) and Halilovic (Sporting).
