A fairly event-less round of midweek cup games, at least on the disciplinary front, and at the weekend there was only one red card for an outfield player, Betis midfielder Petros getting his marching orders for a second bookable offence late in in the Sunday mid-day match against Celta. Granada assistant coach Jesús Pérez was also sent to the stands though for protesting in the game against Sevilla, and with Lucas Alcaraz in the middle of a two game ban, the Granada bench is going to be a bit empty net weekend! Elsewhere Neymar (Barcelona) and Chory Castro (Málaga) were the only two players to complete the five yellow card cycle, and both will miss next weekend’s fixtures as a result. Neymar is incidentally also suspended for the mid-week Champions League tie, so he will be getting plenty of rest in the next few days! (06.12.16)
