Two red cards at the weekend, Valencia’s Cancelo picking up a second booking late on in the match at Real Sociedad, and his team doctor Luis Silvestre getting sent to the stands for protesting. Valencia’s match next weekend against Real Madrid has been postponed though due to the Club World Cup, and both will therefore serve out their bans in the first weekend of the new year, as will Sergio Ramos, who picked up a fifth booking against Deportivo. No less than ten players will miss out next weekend though after they too collected their fifth cautions of the season, including Laporte (Athletic), Correa (Atlético), Uche Agbo (Granada), David García (Las Palmas), Mantovani and Víctor Díaz (both Leganés), Oier (Osasuna), Zurutuza (Real Sociedad), and Mariano and Franco Vázquez (both Sevilla).
