Three red cards at the weekend, the first on Sunday afternoon for Sevilla’s Nico Pareja after referee Bikandi Garrido sent him off for giving away a penalty with only a minute gone! Needless to say hosts Espanyol went on to win 3-1. Later in the evening Real Sociedad’s Iñigo Martínez got his marching orders for a second bookable offence near the end of the game against Real Madrid, and on Monday Valencia’s Munir was also red-carded soon after the restart after he picked up two bookings in quick succession at Las Palmas. All will be on the sidelines next weekend together with six players who collected their fifth cautions of the season, Gabriel (Leganés), Kroos (Real Madrid), Dani Parejo and Nani (both Valencia), and Alvaro and Roberto Soriano (both Villarreal).
