Granada’s Andreas Pereira blotted his copy book on Friday evening when he tried to step in to protest about a rash tackle by Betis substitute Nahuel. All he achieved though was to get them both sent off, and the disciplinary committee handed out two match bans to each. Only one other red card this weekend, Málaga’s new signing José Rodríguez getting his marching orders for a second bookable offence with twenty minutes to go in the Monday night game against Las Palmas. He will be joined by seven other players who completed the five yellow card cycle, including Deyverson (Alavés), Raúl García (Athletic) and Camacho (Málaga), who all picked up their tenth bookings of the season, and Jonny (Celta), Fran Rico (Eibar), Pape Diop (Espanyol) and Alberto Martín (Leganés), who were given their fifth. PS The appeals committee decided to let Pereira off his red card after reviewing video evidence presented by the club, and he will therefore be available to play this weekend.
