Three red cards this weekend, including two for Levante players in the relegation battle against Las Palmas, Coke getting his marching orders late on for a second bookable offence, and non-playing substitute Rubén Rochina being shown a straight red for coming onto the pitch to protest, and earning himself a four match ban for haranguing the referee after the final whistle. Despite that all that though Levante won with a last minute goal to virtually ensure their place in the top flight for another season. Villarreal’s Alvaro (the new leader of our “Villains” chart) was also sent off for a second bookable offence in his side’s defeat against Athletic Bilbao on Monday, and he will sit it out next weekend as well, together with nine other players who completed the five yellow card cycle, including Unai Nuñez (Athletic) and Guilherme (Deportivo), who picked up their tenth of the season, and Iturraspe (Athletic), Thomas (Atlético), Jordi Amat (Betis), Bergara (Getafe), Gálvez (Las Palmas), Gabriel (Leganés) and Luis Hernández (Málaga), who all were shown their fith.
