A relaxed last weekend, with all the big issues already decided, and the only red cards were for defenders Diego Rico (Leganés) and Lucas Hernández (Atlético), both for second bookable offences, as well as for Leganés assistant coach Carlos Sánchez for protesting. They will miss the start of next season (Rico for three games after insulting the fourth official), and they will be joined by four players who reached the five yellow card threshold, Diéguez (Alavés), Aday (Girona), Cabaco (Levante) and Diego González (Málaga). Our “Villain” award though goes to Valencia captain Dani Parejo, one of only two players (together with Lerma) to reach the 15 yellow card in what has been a quieter season than usual on the disciplinary front. Long may it be so! (21.05.18)
