White Stick Awards
Only one candidate this week for the white stick, and at this rate it will be a one horse race. Daudén Ibáñez did so well last week that the computer let him referee again, and he didn't let the old black box down, giving two penalties (both on Etxeberria), showing nine yellows and sending off Dutruel and Urrutia, to race ahead with an average of ten cards a game. All in all 100 cards have now been shown in the first two days, an average of five a game. Last year's leaders Llonch Andreu and Megía Dávila both started off discreetly this week, with four cards each. What is the world coming to! (17.9.00)
