Once
again the new boys came to the forefront this week, with González
Vázquez moving to the top of our table with another eleven cards
including two reds and Téllez Sánchez producing ten yellows in
all to move in to second place. González produced the only two sendings
off in another relatively quiet day, with a second bookable for Idiakez and a
straight red for Alfaro (see villains section for more). Téllez's cards
included one for his namesake, the leading villain over the last two years
Oscar Téllez, and he went on to book the poor old Alavés keeper
Kike for wasting time (in the first half!) when he got someone else to take a
goalkick. It was however cancelled on appeal by the disciplinary committee when
it was pointed out that Kike was in fact injured at the time, having to leave
the field shortly afterwards to be replaced by Herrera. (08.10.01) |
