Lopez Nieto refereed his
last game of league football before retiring at Alavés, and was
obviously so overcome with emotion that he forgot to give out any cards at all.
All his career at the forefront of our charts and then he blew it on the last
day! Seriously though, we wish him well in his retirement. Otherwise a quiet
day, with Téllez Sánchez showing a quarter of all the weekend's
cards (10 yellows and a red) in the derby game between Málaga and
Sevilla, and Puentes Leira leaving Valencia with nine men against Barcelona as
well as awarding three penalties. (17.06.03) |
