Referees were as much
affected by Thursday's tragic events as anyone else, and with everyone's minds
on other, much more important things, the weekend produced the lowest number of
yellow and red cards of the season. There were virtually no real incidents of
note, at least that is up to the last minute of the last match, when Celta's
Jesuli had his shirt pulled back by Juan Sánchez as he was about to
score. Ramírez Domínguez waved play on though, and Valencia raced
up the other end and scored their second of the night. Luck seems to have swung
Valencia's way, and this time it was the Celta entourage who claimed that they
had been robbed of a point. (15.03.04) |
