Iturralde González
and his infamous side-kick Rafa Guerrero were in the news again this weekend
when Iturralde gave a penalty to Real Madrid for a foul on Zidane by
Málaga's Gerardo which was a good yard outside of the area. Bernd
Schuster would have appreciated such help as González Vázquez
didn't even give his Levante side a penalty when Manchev was clearly fouled and
then Orbaiz handled in the area. He did make up for it a bit though after the
break, sending off Athletic Bilbao's Luis Prieto for a questionable second
booking after Sergio García seemed to fall by himself. Lizondo
Cortés upset both Atlético Madrid and Zaragoza when he turned
down a penalty appeal at both ends, and finally Muñiz Fernández
also opted for the safe route, booking Sevilla's Carlitos for diving when he
was brought down by Mallorca's Westerveld in the last minute of their match.
