The Betis players were less
than happy with Rubinos Pérez this weekend after he awarded two
penalties against them, sending off keeper Contreras for committing the second
against Espanyol's Tamudo. Rubinos had already given a penalty against them
earlier in the season against Villarreal, and ordered a retake after Doblas
made the save. Deportivo manager Joaquín Caparrós also seemed to
be a bit upset after Lizondo Cortés sent off two of his players (De
Guzman and Manuel Pablo) in a game in which he showed thirteen yellows and two
reds, and also awarded an indirect free kick inside the area for what he
considered to be a back pass to the keeper from which Cádiz equalised.
Caparrós said he never spoke about referees' decisions, but this time he
was wrong! (25.04.06) |
