One of our favourite refereeing stories was of what we have always considered to be the fastest sending off of all time, when an unnamed player was standing alongside the official as he blew his whistle for kick off. "F***ing hell, that was loud!" he said, only to be shown a red card for foul and abusive language! That record was beaten this weekend though when the coach of third division Barreda was sent off 90 minutes before the match against Gimnastica B even started! Segundo Tresgallo couldn't stop himself from uttering an expletive and holding his hands to his head when saw the referee step out of his car in the car park, and to his surprise he was told as he went to take his seat on the bench that he was banned!
