Levante's new manager is
finding out the hard way about life in La Liga. Gianni De Biasi complained on
Wednesday that Pérez Lasa had not treated both sides the same way,
awarding a dubious penalty to Villarreal and then turning down one at the other
end when Cygan handled in the area. The Italian coach said that he was not used
to referees who distinguished so much between small and big teams, a strange
comment given that Villarreal were playing in the regional divisions only a few
years ago!
Elsewhere Turienzo Alvarez
moves to the top of our chart after showing nine yellow cards in the dull
scoreless draw between Recreativo and Racing. At least that gave the fans
something to wake them from their slumber, although he could have made it a bit
more entertaining if he had awarded penalties to Tchite and Sinama-Pongolle at
either end later on! (02.11.07) |
