The referees' committee put
Ontanaya López in to the sin-bin this week after his decision last
weekend to send off Osasuna keeper and award a penalty to their opponents
Valencia. With several referees unavailable Ontanaya was scheduled to officiate
again this weekend, but he was replaced by one of his colleagues. None of this
is much consolation for Osasuna though, who actually had some help from Medina
Cantalejo for once on Sunday. Medina sent off Real Madrid's Cannavaro and
awarded a hotly disputed penalty for hands by Heinze, but Osasuna still lost in
the end. (06.05.08) |
