The biggest mistake was probably by González Vázquez, who disallowed what would have been Almería's equaliser at Valladolid for a clearly non-existent offside. Elsewhere Daudén Ibáñez turned down a couple of penalty appeals at either end in the game between Barcelona and Betis, in particular one for a foul in the second half by Cáceres on Sergio García. However nobody matched the English referee who awarded a goal to Reading against Watford when the ball didn't even go near the line. Maybe we should bring him to Spain to liven things up a bit?
