New referees are always in
the spotlight in La Liga, and this season's two new boys were both in action on
day one. González González has been at this level before, and he
will be looking to do better this time after he got himself relegated the last
time out. Estrada Fernández took charge of a first division match for
the first time though, and he certainly will not be a popular man in Xerez
after he sent off two of their players in their opening game in the top flight.
Rubinos Pérez tops our table however after producing two red cards in
the fixture between Valencia and Sevilla, and that after refereeing the first
leg of the Spanish Super Cup. (03.09.09) |
