Pérez Lasa made a couple of controversial decisions in the game between Valladolid and Espanyol, ruling out a headed goal by Osvaldo for what appeared to be an incorrect offside, and then sending off local forward Diego Costa before the break after he stepped on Didac. Was it deliberate? Who knows? Clos Gómez was in the news after Guardiola accused him of lying a couple of weeks ago, but he could only last up to half time in the match between Valencia and Málaga before an injury forced him to hand over to the fourth official.
