Mateu Lahoz drew the short
straw this week, the Madrid derby, and both sides had complaints.
Atlético felt they should have had a penalty when Xabi Alonso blocked a
Kun Agüero shot with his arm, but Real Madrid also had a penalty appeal
turned down when Simao brought down Di María later in the first half,
and Diego Costa was lucky that the referee didn't spot an elbow later on which
almost put Carvalho's eye out. Elsewhere Paradas Romero didn't see Webó
control the ball with his arm as he ran on to score Mallorca's first at
Zaragoza, although he didn't miss an injury time hand ball in the area by
Martí which led to Zaragoza's winner. The referee produced eleven yellow
cards in the match, all to different players. (10.11.10) |
