"A perro flaco, todo son
pulgas". they say over here (a skinny dog always gets fleas, i.e. when things
are down, everything goes against you), and this week the skinny dog was bottom
club Almería. Drawing 1-1 at relegation rivals Málaga Alvarez
Izquierdo showed a second yellow card to Ulloa, leaving the visitors with ten
men (later nine after Luna was also red-carded), and Málaga went on to
win 3-1. The disciplinary committee didn't agree though overturning Ulloa's
first yellow, but the damage was done and Almería lose ground on a
direct rival. Incidentally this was the third time that Alvarez has had a red
card overturned this season, although he has plenty to spare, topping our chart
this year with 128 yellows and 13 reds in the 17 games he has officiated to
date. (02.03.11) |
