Lots of red cards this week, five in the cup and nine in the league, but otherwise there was little to complain about on the refereeing front (although Rui Faria did his best - see "Villains" section for more). Getafe were upset at González González when he failed to spot that Carvalho had fouled Moyà in the build up to Real Madrid's first goal, and Osasuna felt hard done by when Fernando Teixeira Vitienes allowed Dani Alves to set up Pedro's goal from an offside position, but as both games ended with four goal margins the results would probably have been the same. Or would they? Nobody of course knows, but that didn't stop the television pundits talking about it all for hours... (31.01.13)
