Muñiz Fernández had a bit of a stinker in the Nou Camp on Saturday evening, in particular upsetting visitors Sevilla for disallowing a Cala goal for a supposed foul on Alves which only he saw, and then for permitting Barça's winner to stand even though the clock was showing seven seconds over the allotted injury time. The Andalusians were fortunate though to end the game with eleven men, the referee letting M'Bia and then Vitolo off second bookings either side of half time.

Barça's neighbours Espanyol were also favoured at Granada by Iglesias Villanueva, who inexplicably awarded them an indirect free kick just inside the area for an illegal back pass to Roberto, even though it seemed that the ball came back to the keeper on the rebound after Fran Rico and Thievy went in to the tackle. The Catalans took full advantage though, Simao setting up Lanzarote for what was to prove the only goal of the match, and Ighalo getting himself sent off in the ensuing protests. (18.09.13) .
