Málaga seem to be in the middle of the refereeing controversies this season, and if they were favoured by Mateu Lahoz last weekend, this time around Estrada Fernández may well have cost them the match. The Andalusians were completely dominating Valencia in Mestalla until mid-way through the first half, when Sergi Darder was sent off for a high tackle on Dani Parejo, rather a harsh decision. Estrada then awarded Valencia a penalty when Feghouli’s pass hit Weligton on the arm as he fell to the ground, waving away claims that the hand ball was accidental, and at the beginning of the second half he ruled out a strike by Juanmi for a non-existent offside. It all comes out in the wash we suppose! (03.09.14)
