A shock 0-1 home defeat for Barcelona against Málaga, but would it have been different if Martínez Munuera had not pulled up Luis Suárez for a questionable offside midway through the second half? Probably not the way Barça played, maybe their worse performance of the season to date. Leaders Real Madrid were not fazed though by a couple of debateable decisions by Iglesias Villanueva, a goal by Benzema with an acrobatic overhead kick which was ruled out for offside, and a penalty appeal which was turned down when Elche’s Pasalic handled in the area. Madrid still won 0-2 to open up a four point gap at the top. Atlético and Valencia also shrugged off a couple of poor decisions to win their respective games, the former not happy that Siqueira was sent off after being given a second yellow card by Mateu Lahoz for a non-existent hand ball, and the latter coming back to beat Córdoba after the locals equalized with a Ghilas penalty, Hélder Ramos fooling Undiano Mallenco into pointing to the spot with what the TV camaras showed was a clear dive.
