We’re not quite sure whether Mateu Lahoz was refereeing a game of football or handball in the Calderón stadium this Saturday? Maybe they changed the rules without us realizing, but the last we heard if a player handles deliberately in the area it should be a penalty, and if it’s clearly deliberate then it should be a yellow card. However Mateu let Giménez (twice), Godín and Mascherano off possible penalty appeals for hands, and he decided not to give Filipe Luis a second booking when he cut out a through ball with his arm later on.
