Undiano Mallenco was the man in the spotlight this week, and there was a big debate in the local press as to whether he had gone over the top leaving Atlético Madrid with nine men in the Nou Camp. A television survey came out two thirds in his favour though, and they thought that the red cards were correctly shown. Earlier in the week Las Palmas were unhappy with Fernández Borbolán, who allowed Valencia’s goal to stand even though Rodrigo appeared to be pretty much offside when he scored. The match ended 0-1, and the Canary Islanders were knocked out as a result. (03.02.16)
