Rule number one, play to the referee’s whistle! The Betis and Espanyol defenders forgot that this weekend though, the Andalusians caught watching the officials after a header from Athletic Bilbao’s Muniain hit Molinero on the arm in the area. Everybody including most of the local players stopped waiting for Jaime Latre to react, but not Mikel Rico, who drilled a shot past Adán to put his team two up. And something similar occurred in the Monday night game when Isaac Success won the ball off Espanyol’s Javi López. Again the visitors appealed for a foul and stopped, but González González allowed play to continue, and the Andalusians went on to score. Let that be a lesson to you! (16.03.16)
