A relatively calm weekend on the refereeing front after the incident packed two rounds during the last eight days or so, with no red cards at all compared to seven last weekend and ten in the midweek fixtures. The main talking points were about offside decisions that weren’t given, in particular for the goals scored by Villarreal’s Soriano (referee De Burgos Bengoetxea), Barcelona’s Rakitic (Gil Manzano), Atlético’s Griezmann (Estrada Fernández), and Osasuna’s Kodro and Las Palmas’ Roque (both Del Cerro Grande). None particularly changed the outcome however, so we suppose that that was all right then? (07.03.17)
