“It never rains but it pours” they say, and that was certainly true for the bottom two clubs Málaga and Alavés this weekend! Michel’s side were particularly upset that Gónzalez Fuentes allowed Deulofeu’s second minute goal to stand on Saturday even though the ball had clearly gone out of play before Digne crossed in, and in fact most Málaga players had stopped to appeal to the referee before Deulofeu turned the ball in to the net. Earlier in the day Alavés felt hard done by at Betis after Munir had a clear penalty appeal turned down by Trujillo Suárez, and then was incorrectly pulled up for offside when free on goal.
