Zamoras
It is becoming more and more difficult to get past Héctor Cúper's defence, and keeper Santiago Cañizares is reaping the rewards. He kept his fourth clean sheet in a row in the league to move three points clear at the top of our table. With Leo Franco letting in two goals for the first time this season, Molina finds himself in second place despite not playing this weekend. Nursing an injury, Molina was replaced in the Deportivo side by Jacques Songo'o, who was hit for three by an on-form Alavés. Other than Valencia, five other teams kept a clean sheet, with Nuno, Esteban and Lafuente all improving their position in our chart. The other two were Valladolid's Bizzarri and Villarreal's Unanua, who was replacing the injured López Vallejo once again. (18.12.00)
