Virtually no change in our
table this week, with keepers either out of action or letting in a goal or two.
Three of our top players were injured, Molina joining Kike and Cañizares
in the physio's room after hurting himself stopping a shot from Beckham in the
midweek match against Manchester United. Nuno stepped in then, and took over
again at the weekend where he was one of only four to keep a clean sheet.
Curiously the other three were all second choice keepers as well, at least on
paper, with Valencia's Palop, Espanyol's Argensó and Mallorca's Miki
doing the honours. Miki only kept his place at the last minute, Leo Franco
coming back after a six match lay-off but then aggravating his injury in the
pre-match warm up. Another keeper in the wars was Tenerife's Julio Iglesias who
slipped and strained his groin in the tenth minute of the game at Espanyol
(funnily enough his namesake has some problems with his groin as well, we
hear). Sergio Aragoneses, who started the season as first choice, took over.
