Zamoras

Cañizares kept uo the pressure on Prats at the top of the Zamora's xhart with his second clean sheet in a row as Valencia stayed top of the first division. The Spanish international keeper has now only let in three goals in his last seven league outings. Celta's Cavallero didn't let a goal in either, but he was unable to finish the match after clashing with Real Madrid's Zidane and damaging his shoulder. Pinto stepped in wearing his Mister Muscle T-shirt, but could do nothing to stop Raúl stealing the only goal of the game near the end. Real Madrid manager Vicente Del Bosque surprised everyone in that match lining up with César in goal after his good performance in the midweek Champions League match. Nobody knows whether he was just resting the young keeper for next Wednesday's cup final, or whether it is a more permanent change. Barcelona's manager Charly Rexach was tipped to bring back Bonano after Reina's shaky performances, but in the end he gave him another chance against Málaga. His opposite number Contreras was hit for five (including two penalties), somewhat spoiling his statistics. Clean sheets too for the on-form Molina and for Mallorca's Roa in their much needed victory at Rayo Vallecano. Finally another penalty goal for Nacho González, his fourth of the season. He is only one off becoming Las Palmas top scorer. Shame about the forward line. (04.03.02)
