Argentina's World Cup keeper Cavallero moves one clear at the top of the table after another clean sheet in the 0-0 draw against Atlético Madrid. His number two this summer Mono Burgos was at the other end in that match, and the two greeted each other warmly before and after the game. Curiously the only other keeper to avoid letting in a goal this weekend, Leo Franco, is also from Argentina and in fact kept Burgos out of Mallorca's side two seasons ago.

Only a couple of goalkeeping changes this week, both involving Spain's two current under 21 internationals. The good news was for Villarreal's Reina, who replaced López Vallejo and saved the day in the last minute from a Roberto Carlos free kick, and the bad news was for his ex team mate at Barcelona Víctor Valdés, who was dropped by Louis Van Gaal to bring back Bonano, considered third choice keeper at the start of the season behind Víctor and the now out of favour Enke.
