Zamoras

Who would be a goalkeeper this weekend, with 39 goals scored, an average of almost four a game? Cañizares can think himself lucky that he failed a late fitness test as Real Madrid crashed four past Palop, who had only let in one goal in four previous games. The Spanish international keeper should be back soon though. Despite the high scoring, there were no less than five "porteros" who managed to keep clean sheets, including Deportivo's Juanmi who moves up to second in the table. Bonano kept his second in a row and enters our table for the first time having completed ten games in Barcelona's goal, and Etxeberría (Rayo) and Bizzarri (Valladolid) also contributed to their team's victories. Notario was another with zero goals against, but the three he let in against Real Madrid last Thursday means he drops to third in the table. Casillas did keep out Sevilla though in that game, and he draws level with Cavallero, who is now out of the running after letting in seven in the last three games. (06.01.03).
