Notario's dreams of taking
the Zamora prize are slipping away after his side were hit for three for the
second week in a row, this time against Real Madrid. With three of the Sevilla
back four suspended for that game. they were no match for Del Bosque's
marauding hordes. Cañizares is now favourite to win his fourth title
after Valencia won 3-0 against Alavés, but don't rule out Cavallero, who
recorded his fourth clean sheet in a row in the 0-0 draw with Bizzarri's
Valladolid to stay one behind. Sanzol is now catching the gap on Notario after
his Osasuna side proved to be the party-poopers at Atlético Madrid's
centenary celebrations.
Although there were 30 goals
at the weekend, seven "porteros" did manage to keep their goals against column
to zero. Other than the four mentioned above, Toni (Espanyol), Leo Franco
(Mallorca) and Luque (Recreativo) all helped their sides to victories. Spare a
thought though for Villarreal's Reina, who was hit for five. He is replaced in
the chart this week by Athletic's Aranzubia. One change of goalkeeper as well,
Barcelona's Víctor Valdés replacing Bonano for their game against
Real Sociedad. (29.04.03) |
