Another 30 goals this
weekend, the same as last week, and once again mixed results for our keepers.
Three of them let in half the day's tally, with Sanzol, Luque and more
surprisingly Casillas all letting in five. A new leader once again in the
chart, Cavallero making it five clean sheets in a row as Celta drew 0-0 with
Dutruel's Alavés to move above Valencia on head-to-head goal average.
The two sides are fighting it out for the last Champions League spot, and the
performance of their "porteros" could be vital.
Once again seven sides
didn't let in any goals at all, with Víctor Valdés consolidating
his position once again at Barcelona now that Bonano is out of favour,
Westerveld solid for Real Sociedad against Sevilla and Juanmi returning in
place of the injured Molina at Depor. He handed over his jersey for the last
twenty minutes to third choice keeper Dani Mallo, who was making his league
debut this season. Reina (Villarreal) and Contreras (Málaga) also kept
clean sheets as their sides produced the second goal-less draw of the weekend.
