Zamoras

Víctor Valdés moves clear at the top of our chart this week after his third clean sheet in a row and his fifth in all this season in the league. It is one of the first times that both the leaders in the Pichichi and Zamora titles are from the same club, although there is obviously a long way to go yet before the fat lady sings. Six other keepers also kept their goals against column to zero this weekend, including Kameni (Espanyol), Reina (Villarreal), Casillas (Real Madrid), Aouate (Racing), Valbuena (Albacete) and Doblas (Betis), who was making his first division debut at Getafe in place of the injured Prats and Contreras. Curiously his opposite number in that match Sánchez Broto was also making his first appearance for his new club since moving from Murcia in the summer . (25.10.04)
