Mixed fortunes for our
keepers on a high scoring weekend, with Calatayud being hit for five, Moya for
four, and Molina and our leading Zamora Kameni letting in three. It wasn't
really Kameni's fault though, as his side had to play with nine men for all the
second half at Valencia. But despite the big tally of goals, no less than six
"porteros" did manage to keep clean sheets, including Cañizares who
moves up just two behind the leaders having only let in one goal in the last
seven games. Esteban and Aranzubia improved their positions in our table as
their sides produced important wins, and they were joined by Doblas (Betis),
Sánchez Broto (Getafe) and Elia (Osasuna). Elsewhere Real Sociedad's
Alberto and Barcelona's third choice keeper Rubén both made their first
starts of the season as Riesgo and Valdés were suspended. (24.12.04)
