Zamoras

Víctor Valdés broke his own personal record after going 406 minutes without letting in a goal. His clean sheet against Deportivo was his fourth in a row, and Barcelona president Joan Laporta said he thought he was the best in Europe right now. Luis Aragonés didn't agree though, and decided for the upcoming internationals with China and Serbia to stick with Cañizares and with Casillas, who also kept his goal clean as Real Madrid beat Málaga 1-0. Elsewhere Luis García and Leo Franco both stood fast for their third consecutive clean sheets as Zaragoza and Atlético drew 0-0, and Notario made his first league start of the season for Sevilla, replacing Esteban and also keeping his goals against column to zero.
