There were 0-0 draws between Casillas's Real Madrid and Contreras's Betis, and between Límia's Cádiz and Alavés, where Bonano took over from his fellow countryman Costanzo who had to return to Argentina for family reasons. Our leader Cañizares had to sit out this weekend due to a one match ban (as did Osasuna's Ricardo), Butelle making a less than impressive debut in La Liga as Valencia fell to their first defeat in 17 games.
