Osasuna's Ricardo helped his side to consolidate their Champions League spot with a 0-1 win at Atlético, but Palop's Sevilla are hot on their heels after a 3-0 victory over Getafe. It was a good week for the three struggling Basque sides as well, Lafuente and Costanzo both keeping their goals against column to zero as Athletic and Alavés won, and Real Sociedad taking a point in a 2-2 draw at Cádiz, with Riesgo having to go off with a head injury midway through the first half and Alberto taking over.
