Zamoras

Fabio Capello came back to the Bernabeu to win titles, not to make friends. So it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that Iker Casillas is already heading up the Zamora table as the coach's defensive tactics start to take effect. This week a 0-1 win at Betis took the Merengues to joint top spot, and it probably won't be the last time that this scoreline is repeated.

Casillas was one of six keepers to register a clean sheet this weekend, together with Lafuente (Athletic), Abbondanzieri (Getafe), Molina (Levante), Prats (Mallorca) and Ricardo (Osasuna). Lafuente and Molina were making their first starts this season, as was Calatayud for Racing Santander. (25.09.06)
