Iker Casillas is back at the
top of our chart after keeping a clean sheet against number one rivals
Barcelona. Capello's style of "catenaccio" is starting to have its effect, and
Casillas must be a firm candidate for this year's prize. Elsewhere there were
five other clean sheets, including Cañizares, Dudu Aouate, Prats, last
season's Zamora Pinto (his first of the season) and Claudio Bravo. The Real
Sociedad keeper was making his debut for the Basque side after Riesgo had let
in 14 in the first six games, although the scoreless draw at Mallorca may still
not be enough to save coach José Marí Bakero. Finally
Recreativo's Laquait got his first start after it was confirmed that
López Vallejo's injury will keep him out for a month or so. (23.10.06)
