Zamoras

Only 18 goals scored this weekend, and it could have been less had López Vallejo and in particular Viera not let in two of the silliest goals of the season in the match between Recreativo and Villarreal. Leo Franco chose the wrong week to return from injury, Valencia hitting him for three, and Abbondanzieri moves further clear at the top of the chart as a result. And there were seven clean sheets in all, including Valdés (Barcelona), Aouate (Deportivo), Molina (Levante), Bravo (Real Sociedad), Palop (Sevilla), Ricardo (Osasuna) and Calatayud (Racing). Ricardo was back after serving out a one match ban, and Calatayud replaced the indisposed Toño. Butelle also got a run out at Valencia for the last quarter of an hour or so after Cañizares had to go off following an accidental clash with his own fullback, Raúl Albiol. (05.02.07)
