The top four keepers were in
action against each other this weekend, and although all let in goals, Pato
Abbondanzieri probably came out on top. In fact if he hadn't given away a
penalty on his return to the side after a one match ban he may have kept a
clean sheet in the Bernabeu stadium. Elsewhere there were five clean sheets,
including Cañizares (Valencia), López Vallejo (Recreativo),
Toño (Racing), Bizzarri (Nàstic) and Doblas (Betis), who clocked
up his fourth in a row. As well as Abbondanzieri, there were three goalkeeping
changes, Cañizares coming in for Butelle at Valencia after recovering
from a virus, Viera back at Villarreal for the injured Barbosa, and Moyà
returning at Mallorca for Prats. (05.03.07) |
