Zamoras

Only five clean sheets this weekend in a high scoring round of games, and none of them amongst our top five. Real Sociedad's Bravo moved up the table to sixth, and he has only let in one goal in the last four games as the Basque side make a last gasp dash for survival. Elsewhere there were clean sheets for Aouate (Deportivo), Moyà (Mallorca), Viera (Villarreal) and César (Zaragoza). But it was bit of funny weekend for keepers, two of whom didn't see out the end of their respective games. Athletic's Aranzubia picked up an injury in the first half against Sevilla, handing his gloves over to Lafuente who then let in four. And Contreras was given a run out in the Betis line up after Doblas was "rested", only to be sent off in a hotly disputed penalty incident at the end of the game at Espanyol. Central defender Juanito put on the (by then sweaty) jersey, but couldn't stop Tamudo's spot kick from going in. (23.04.07)
