Heavy rain in Spain
contributed to a low scoring weekend, although goals were fairly evenly spaced
and there were only six clean sheets in all. One of those was for Víctor
Valdés, who moves away from his closest rival Casillas after having only
let in two goals in seven games. Of the other five. only Zaragoza's
César was in the starting line up at the beginning of the season, the
others (Diego Alves (Almería), Fabricio (Deportivo), Casilla (Espanyol)
and Hildebrand (Valencia)), all winning their places as the current campaign
progressed.
Two or three more changes to
comment on as well, with Palop returning for Sevilla after a two month long
injury, Alberto replacing the suspended Sergio Asenjo at Valladolid, and
Armando making his debut for Athletic Bilbao at the ripe young age of 37 after
his transfer from Cádiz a few days ago. (04.02.08) |
