Up until Real Madrid put
seven past poor old (well, young) Sergio Asenjo, keepers were doing quite well
in the latest round of matches. Six had kept clean sheets (Casillas was the
seventh), including Almería's Diego Alves in a 0-0 draw at Moyà's
Mallorca. The Brazilian keeper has not been beaten now for five games, and he
is apparently being watched by AC Milan as a possible successor to his fellow
countryman Dida. Elsewhere Armando (Athletic Bilbao), Abbiati (Atlético
Madrid), Ricardo (Osasuna) and Diego López (Villarreal) also kept their
goals against columns to zero in their respective teams victories this weekend.
