The six million Dollar
question - will Casillas play against Barcelona now that his side have tied up
the title? Bernd Schuster may be tempted to rest him so that he can be sure of
the Zamora prize, but the thought of a derby game against the old rivals with
guard of honour included may be irresistible. With Víctor Valdés
only one behind though, any slip could cost him the award.
Valdés was one of
five keepers to maintain clean sheets this weekend as Barça thrashed
Hildebrand's Valencia 6-0. Diego López, Leo Franco and Palop all
contributed to their respective sides' push for European spots, and
César helped Zaragoza to a last minute 1-0 win over Deportivo which took
his team out of the relegation spots. Elsewhere Lafuente replaced the injured
Kameni at Espanyol, and Ricardo returned to the Osasuna goal after he was let
off last weekend's red card. (05.05.08) |
